Since lots of JKD'ers fight "strong side forward", how long does it take to develope a good rear cross? I did a combo of JKD/ Muay Thai/ FMA for 14 months.
Then I didnt train then for about 6 months due to injury with the exception of shadowboxing. Then 6 more months on my own shadowboxing/ heavy bag work because I knew I was going to move and my school only did contracts. Now Ive been back at a new JKD place for 6 weeks and have recently noticed that my rear cross sucks. Its nothing compared to when Im not going strong side forward. So, how long does it take to develop a good rear cross for the rest of you strong side forward guys? Any pointers on how to get there? |
