Vunak Videos

I was thinking of purchasing some Vunak videos. I was really interested in the video covering energy drills. Does anybody have any input as to how in depth the video is?

Voo's videos are awesome, as you're probably well aware. I like the energy drills tape a lot, if for no other reason than seeing how Paul moves and trains them. If you're already familiar with hubud, lop sao, and chi sao, the videos will give you some interesting ways to flow from one to the other, but understand that when they were made, not many people were training things that way, so if you've done a lot of energy drilling in the past, it might be a review tape for you. Still, it's a great investment, and you can always learn watching Paul. Another really in-depth tape to check out is Terry Gibson's video on energy drills. It's less dynamic than Paul's, but it has more switches and options to throw into your energy drills than any tape I've seen. I'm not sure what the Gibson Academy's site is, but I know you can get there through Harley Elmore's Link page at http://www.warriorswaytx.com. In the Gibson tape, there's a phenomenal scene with Terry and his wife Cathy freestyling some energy drill training that will make you get up and train! Hope that helps,

Vu' Energy Drills tape is quite good. However it doesn't really teach you techniques, rather it show you interesting ways to work your lop sau, hubud and chi sao drills.

It's definitely worth a look.

Demi Barbito has a awesome video called critical distance. It covers the whole energy drill thing in a much more advanced way than I have ever seen. He teaches you how to really train to fight with the stuff. there are techniqes too, lot's actualy. He also talks about Killer Instinct training too. I train with him about 4 times a year. The energy thing has been made to be like a magical thing by alot of instructors but he really gives you the real deal about it.
