Guru Cass Magda Seminar in NY Nov. 10th and 11th.

Guru Cass Magda, director of the Magda Institute of Martial Arts, in Reseda California will be doing a seminar at Phoenix Martial Arts in NY. Guru Cass was a long time student and instructor under Guru Dan Inosanto. Aside from training personally with Dan Inosanto and going on hundreds of seminar tours with him, Guru Cass has studied intensively and personally with Pendekar Paul DeThours, Tuhon Leo Giron, Pendekar Herman Suwanda, Ajarn Chai, etc.

The seminar will most likely be feature elements and fighting strategies from the Filipino Martial Arts, Buka Jalan Pentjak Silat, and Jeet Kune Do. He makes the trek out to NY twice a year, and it is awesome. One thing that is really unique about Cass is that he is able to teach a pure beginner and a highly advanced practioner at the same time. He is one of the purest teachers, in terms of being able to communicate and teach the arts, to others.

Sifu/Guru Greg Picardo and Guru/Sifu Cass Magda are both decent individuals and dedicated practitioners and I have had the pleasure to teach at both locations in the past with my instructor CPSD Coach Lloyd Kennedy. Both were kind hosts and having said that I strongly suggest you support both Sifu/Guru Greg and Guru/Sifu Cass Magda for this seminar. Both individuals have a lot to offer and have some great students, a mark of a qualified instructor..
