Both. Neither. All three.
Monkeys. Seriously, which is better depends on a) who the individual instructor is and b) how much work you are willing to put in to make the instruction work for you.

Tim's posted here a few times...he seems like a great guy, and from what I've heard from him here, an excellent instructor.
and as a shameless plug for him...here's a youtube video...great marketing tool, Tim;

I'll vouch for Tim's quality as well. he just came out and went through the Level I Modern Army Combatives Program, and is now certified to teach that program as well. Although I was only a facilitator for the trip and I didn't train him for MACP, we got to hang out some and discuss training ideas, Larry Hartsell, and other aspects of martial arts. Given that and the video material I've seen, I'd say if you're within driving range of his school, you'd learn a lot from the man. His assistant Cory (in the video) is a top-notch guy as well.

Great video great suff except.............Trapping range.............:P
Somebody show me a sport combat fight where what is commonly known as trapping (not grappling moves is the deciding factor in a fight and I'll stfu. The only examples i can think of is when a thai boxer or mma person grabs a person's kickI've never seen anything even resembling wingchun/kungfu type trapping used much less being the deciding factor in a fight. If you have any sport combat fight videos showing otherwise please post them I'd really like this question answer one way or the other.

boxers also utilize trapping for that matter. a simple trap can be: you throw out a jab and your OP blocks/parries it and you pak sao while simultaneously hit
