| Advanced | Hi, Tim (or anybody else), how about a more detailed review, maybe by Erik himself, or anyone that has seen it? Thanks.

The weapon arts imply the they can stop the unarmed man. A complete martial art implies any fight can go anywhere...be ready and able to go everywhere. |

![]() | I've watched about half of the material on all 5 tapes and I must say they're some of the best instructional tapes I've ever seen. These tapes aren't really for beginners, in that they don't cover proper form for a jab, cross, etc. If you've ever trained with Guro it's pretty similar to a class or seminar. What I really love about these tapes is when it's just Guro talking into the camera. There's some really interesting stories about Sijo Bruce and the origins of drills and whatnot. At one point Guro addresses the "original" vs. "concepts" debate, and without trying to paraphrase what Guro states so eloquently he ends it by saying "They don't know, they weren't there, and that's all I'm going to say about it." Some strong words from a man who's usually so humble and passive it drives me crazy. Tape One covers Jun Fan Gung Fu/JKD Kickboxing and is 45 min. 1-2 series, 1-3 series, Loy Da series, etc. Tape Two covers Jun Fan Gung Fu/JKD Trapping and is 55 min. Didn't watch it yet. Tape Three covers Jun Fan Gung Fu/JKD Grappling and is 60 min. Lots of takedowns from trapping range, figure four stuff, Jun Fan arm bar series, surfboard, etc. Tape Four covers Kali/Panatukan and is 65 min. LaCoste, LucayLucay stuff, awesome. Tape Five covers Kali/Dumog and is 65 min. Haven't seen it yet. Buy this stuff! Call (310) 348-9944 or e-mail BBIAMA@aol.com. |
