Cool

Do any of you train your punching combinations with palm strikes as well? Actually, I'm thinking about spending a lot of time developing palm striking within my training...mainly because bare-knuckled punching is not the safest way to go, on the street, due to higher chances of bleeding.

whadaya think?

Practice your boxing a whole lot!! The body mechanics will easily transfer to your palm strikes.

Yup. When doing focus mitts, we sometimes call a slap during a combination (i.e.: Jab, Cross, Slap). A slap isn't quite a "palm strike" as it's normally taught ... but it's an open-hand strike. You could, though, do the same type of thing with more classical palm strikes.
