IMO the Translation is :
Pimps= JKDers that "pimp out" JKD as a source of revenue/to make money. The JKD "Pimp" may have a small cartel of JKD Hos.
Ho= A JKDer that sells his/her JKD to turn a buck.
Collectors= JKDers that "collect" techniques and drills from many sources.

Observations? IMO the linage oriented JKDC group is safe from the categories since they "profit from" for lack of a better term, arts like kali,silat,BJJ etc and keep the "Jun Fan" for small group settings.
The OJKD linage group is also safe since they seldom are able to make money off their passion.
Hope that opens the conversation to others.

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to identify who among us fits into what category.
One other thing. I sincerely believe that Bruce Lee would want to care for the people he loved most in his life and that would be Linda/Brandon/Shannon. Any speculation that a Bruce Lee family member fits one of the categories would be a major insult to the late Bruce Lee. Those of you with strong family ties will know what I mean.

I think a better measure is, anyone who hasn't made a name for themselves is just a bastard stepchild cashing in on someone else's skill.

By this definition, Inosanto has earned his status on his own.

This is a general question and not targeted at any one individual. I don't really care honestly. I have no JKD certifications, I have been to no JKD seminars, and only say that what I am doing is JKD based because people who did JKD taught it to me and we took it from there and it wouldn't be right to claim that it is all original when so much of it is straight out of JKD. But what I do know is not JKD but something completely different that I and my training partners have come up with.

It is funny that martial arts is the only place I know where people actually get upset when they get credited for their work by someone else.
