Question for Burton

Burton, while searching the web for information on Comjuka, I saw you pictured with the system's Grandmaster, Gaudiosa Ruby.

I was just wondering if you know anything about her style? If you do, could you tell me a bit about it, if it's not too much of a hassle for you? I'm interested in Comjuka, but haven't been able to dig up too much info on the Internet. Any details you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry for the inconvenience caused. I must defend Sifu Burton Richardson here as he has just arrived back from his seminars and has left again on a tour to Reunion and South Africa. I will do my utmost best to track him down so that he can address your questions. Sifu Burton is really putting allot of time & effort in to maintain JKDU as a very dynamic Association and to keep ahead of the rest. So with all this said you will most surely be receiving a response from the world's most second wanted man after Bin Laden

Aloha Shaka,
Sorry it took so long to answer this, but as Morne' pointed out, I have been quite busy. The only thing I know about G. Ruby is that she has always been very nice to me. I have met her a few times, but these were at events where I did not get to see the method that they use. I would suggest that you try a class and see if you enjoy it. If you are interested in being able to fight with the stick, make sure that there is plenty of sparring available. Enjoy!

Aloha, Burton. Taking a class was something that I had considered, but her school is about a 2 hour drive from where I live. I was hoping to get as much info as I could before making that trip.

Thank you for replying to my post, though. Your advice was very helpful. I'll keep in mind the bit about the sparring.
