does anybody know of how i can get certified to teach without going all over the u.s. I live in a relativly small town in Kansas and simply don't have the time to take a week vacation. I want to teach full time but fear that no one will respect what I know unless I have something on the wall that says I know it. It's not matter of knowledge I have studied jkd for years, it's a matter of time and distance.

In the past I think that was true. Now I think people are smarter than that. I train at straight blast gym. My instructor is very well known and the school is doing well. I have no idea if he has or has ever recieved any certification. Check it out and see for yourself. straightblastgym.com
Let your curriculum and technique speak for itself. Good marketing and salsemanship will beat certification for getting and keeping students anyway.

best teachers I know don't come to you with medals, trophies, certificates, rank - just knowledge.
