Hi everyone,
I just recently moved and decided to start something different to get myself back in shape. I saw an advertisement for a JKD school offered here and after a discussion with the instructor on the phone I'm starting classes Tuesday night. I'm wondering if any of the forum mods or admins who are in the know have heard of my instructor before, his name is Peter Brown and I'm in Sydney, Nova Scotia. In any event I'm going to give it a shot and stick with it whether I like it or not. I used to be involved with Tae Kwon Do for a few months a few years ago but had to stop when I made a move to another province. Since moving here to Sydney I've had quite a few bad experiences with people that I would like to be better prepared for and I think JKD is probably the best way for me to go at this stage. |

One seriously has to hate the predicaments they put themselves in. No sooner do I post this message than my friends call me up to go out. Long story short, I arrive home with a broken nose and 3 stitches above my left eye because some ass decided to throw their beer bottle at me for reasons unknown.
I think I'm a crap magnet, it just seems to seek me out no matter where I am or what I do. |

It's not as if I went out looking for a fight, I didn't antagonize the guy and before the beer bottle hit I hadn't even so much as looked at him.
As if I like getting my head handed to me every time I set foot outside in this place. I'm seriously thinking of moving back to Halifax now, at least they're sane there. |
