Anyway- Norris is (or was) the real thing- he competed in the kickboxing circuit back in the seventies, which, from what I heard, was pretty hardcore. I'd love to see some footage of this stuff. |

in my opinion hes also a total jerk, i have competed in 5 of his martial art tournaments, all of which he sponsored and was supposed to be at, and he no showed every one...however hes is a pretty bad ass fighter, i have seen some of his fights from the 70s and 80s and you definetly would not have wanted to mess with him...the walker texas ranger character he played does not come close to showing you the warrior that lies (or use to lie?) within...

Greetings all,
Hey Holte2, I have met Mr. Norris several times (he's a good friend with one of my old instructors in Ohio) and I have to take extreme disagreement that he is a jerk. I suppose if you rate him not showing = total jerk, then that is your right. However he MUST have a good reason for not showing. He is one of the nicest, most dedicated people I have met/read about/heard testimonials about. He's just a general nice guy... much like he portrays in Texas Walker. But I do agree with you on the rest of your comments. He was one of the best in his time. |

Chuk Norris was the World Middle weight champion from like 1968 to 1974 when he retired undefeated and has been studying Bjj for a while with the Muchados as well

I dont know Chuck Norris Personally (wish i did
)What i have seen about the man in his movies and especially his latest series Walker is that he sends a good message out especially to the youngsters which is very important. The articles in Magazines and his Kick Drugs out of America program is all reflections of a great person. Just the idea that he was prepared to study BJJ and keep an open mind is also a sign of a great Martial Artist. He surely get's my vote from what i know about him. Enjoy! Morné |

Undefeated HELL! I saw him get stomped in 'Return of the Dragon'!!!!
I thought he was dead, but he wasn't. Bruce Lee must have done some fancy Chi Kung moves on him to make him better. |
