Has anyone seen Marc McFann's grappling videos? He has several on his website including tapes on chokes, armbars, takedowns, etc? They aren't cheap so any feedback would be greatly appreciated as I know so little about Mr. McFann

Thanks Don. The tape I'm really interested in is vol 4 which his website says shows escapes from control positions. I don't suppose this is one you've seen and could give me a quick review? Actually, if you could run down any of his tapes I would appreciate it. Thanks

I have vol.3 and 4. I thought I had another but can't seem to locate it. Volume 3 covers techniques from some unconventional positions. Volume 4 is just what you said, escapes and counters. The moves are well explained and shown very clearly. He uses a good variety of influences and points out where the techniques are from. I would recommend them highly. I haven't reviewed them in a while, but I do remember them being really helpful. Hope this helps you out some.

I've seen 1 & 2 and think they are good. I haven't seen 4.
I talked to a Judo guy who did not like them. Not sure exactly why. That's the only negative review I've heard on them, though. www.MartialDirect.com "martial arts directory, articles, interviews and more' |

hello,
this is probably what you are not looking for, but his stickgrappling vid is full of stickgrappling chokes/locks and some takedowns. about 30 moves or so if i recall. for some ofthem he taught to flow from one to another. one of my faves.
