Has anyone gone to CA and trained with Paul Vunak for the weekend? My friend and I are planning to go in the Spring and imagine it will be great.
We are getting the $2000 package for the weekend. Has anyone else done this and how was it. i'm sure it was great. Thanks in advance. |

ryu? where are you?
it's expensive, but it depends on what you're looking for. i wouldn't want submission grappling (paulson) for street self defense. i wouldn't pay voo $2000 either, but if you've got the cash and the time, why not? i've heard some good things and some bad things about vunak. his traps are really cool, but are definitely "studio gloss." the seals seem to like him, so there must be something to what he teaches. just going on what i've heard, ryan |

jkd,
i can almost guarantee you that you'll learn something new. if you're into the street oriented side of the martial arts rather than the showy junk, take a look at sammy franco (md, usa) and richard dimitri (canada). both they and their systems are awesome. absolutely top of the reality field. good luck in training. ryan |

Yep, I've gone through some IPTPs with Paul, as well as Tom Cruz, etc. Will be training with Paul again soon to test for Full Instructorship in JKD. I'm excited about it, and am training hard for it. I'm going to get it even if it takes every ounce of "fight" I have in me
![]() Paul will treat you good. He's literally the most open, and easy-to talk-to martial arts instructor I've ever met. Not only will you learn great stuff, you'll get to use what you learn in full contact sparring too. It's great fun, safe, and the man really knows how to teach. Good luck, and have a blast! Ryu

Hey Jkdk3,
Go by Paul for sure you will not be disappointed. I have been their a few times and the training is top notch. He will completely change the way you look at martial arts for ever. Hope you are in the PFS family soon, Mike Vaughn |

Hooker-psychiatrists tend to be too Freudian these days anyways.
