I am looking for JKD videos which show the standup and clinch ranges. I am training at a club that is influenced by the Filipino Martial Arts, Western Boxing and Muay Thai as well as others.
My question is, what videos would you recommend that would aid me in learning more about these ranges? Thanks, newtoJKD |

Hey NewtoJkd,
I would recommend any of Paul Vunak's fighting tapes. Ones where he traps or street fighting series. You can look at these videos on Threat response solutions website. Hope this helps. Mike Vaughn |

I have seen most of Vu's tapes & like them alot too.
I hear Matt Thorntons tapes are awesome, especially with clinch work. If money's not too big of a deal, I'd get some of each. You could do well for a couple hundred bucks, or check out ebay. I see Vu's stuff on there once in a while. Good luck! |

Thanks for the info on Matt Thorton and Paul Vunak. I will take a closer look at them.
I have also seen that _______ Tucci (not sure of his first name), Burton Richardson, and Dan Inosanto (along with others) have made videos as well. Would anyone know about these? Thanks for the help, newtoJKD |

It's Rick Tucci.
And both Rick & Burt are students of Dan, so maybe go to the source? I'm sure they all have alot to offer, although I believe Burt is in with Matt Thornton with his "alive" training philosphy. |

I've seen some of Vunak's tapes, and Tom Cruse's tapes and they are very good. However, I just recently bought 3 of Matt Thornton's tapes and they are by far the best I've ever seen. Matt takes the fluff out of JKD (which has taken the fluff out of other arts). It's no wonder why Matt is so sought after as an instructor. "Aliveness" is the key principle behind his training. You won't go wrong with any of these tapes, but Matt's are by far my most favorite video series.

MD, about those videos, if you are interested in selling them let me know I might be interested if you clarify what relatively cheap is.
feel free to email me if you'd like.

I like Vu's Streetfighting series. Steve Grody has some good stuff too.
