![]() | Hey Ryan, ![]() I'm not disagreeing with you, but I wanted to say at least that this forum used to be MUCH worse! I'm kind of an "old school" poster here that has come back since the days of Pit Dog, Lacrymosa, Ronin, etc. After those posters left this place literally hit rock bottom. I left because it was just a zoo of morons. But these last couple months I've seen this place, things seem much much better! We still get the occasional troll, but hey, at least it's focusing again on MA, and we have some intelligent, good-virtued posters again. On a side note, KFO is becoming what Mousel's used to be... Hopefully one day the pendulum will swing the other way again with that place too.Ryu

| Registered User | Ryan, I have always wondered the same thing. If Mr. Mousel is too busy (which I totally understand), he could appoint a moderator (someone like Ryu?) to keep this forum up to par. I'd say 75% of the threads are pretty much a waste of forum space. lol Bruce Fan Ps. Hey Ryu, did you get my private message? Email me sometime. My email is listed in my profile. |

But ... even 75% is *a lot* better average than a lot of the discussion boards out there. Look around. What I usually find is that about 90% is a total waste of time. About 10% is worth looking at. And about 1% of that 10% is Good Quality Information. Mike | |

| Registered User | i have checked out a couple of other forums and i would have to say that this onw is the best. forums like abudokan.com really sucks. last time i posted there i told the people that karate and katas suck alot of the people there got super pissed off and stoped posting. and after a while i got a private warning message just because i said karate suck. that bull shit. i can say whatever i want here and no one will care. and thats whats so great about this forum to me. you learn from every body's views on the subject without anybody saying you hurt my feelings. if you put moderation on this forum then pussies will start coming in and complaining about people down talking what they think. and of course i have learned alot. even improved my debating skillzz

![]() | Hey Ryan, I have seen all manner of different types of moderation. There are some excellent sites and then not so excellent. These forums are freewheeling and fun. Yeah, we could do with some serious talk, but we do a lot of that already. When the retards post, we do a good job of punking them until they either come around and start making sense or simply get mad a leave. Either way it's win/win. Look at MDF. We cut down on the trash talk and style/style crap and the forum is slow. The posts are golden, but they are few and far between. You and Terry are doing a bang up job. And Bitty's always there to call bullshit, and then of course I have to call bullshit on Bitty... ![]() All in all it's a good place to hang out. Spanky |

I too am somewhat of an old timer here, I dissapeared for quite a while, and remeber the forum in its hay day. I agree that the pendulum will swing back and forth. Only by being loyal and continuing to spread the word will the forum regain its status. Pit dog was a good troll though. He was pretty funny. He did get out of line sometimes though. The current trolls are getting better, but the strong information is getting more sparse. "Everyday spent training is one day closer to learning something." ..........Spiderchoke

![]() ![]() | Moderating is a very tough job. I think Terry and Ryan are doing an excellent job. A little bit of controversy is good to keep it interesting. This forum has definitely had its ups and downs. There have been times when it has been barely tolerable to read, especially back in the days of my "lifetime enemy" Vij Pawar. ![]() Thanks again to Terry and Ryan for all their hard work and a thanks to all the forum members that keep this forum active. Tim |
