Remember Bruce liked the practicality of boxing so he incorporated Jabs, Crosses, Hooks and Uppercuts into his teachings. Well, a lot of those are found in Thai Boxing as well as the elbow strikes. The beauty of his system was that it incorporated different arts to get into a certain range. Once in the trapping range, you could use elements of Thai boxing, Wing Chun, Kali, etc....... Anyhow, at the kicking & Punching range, there would be a lot of similarities between the two. Would Bruce teach people to become strickly Thai Boxers? No Way, I'd say. Sticking to one style went against everything he preached. Bruce_Fan PS. Great Sage, this was meant to be a reply in your thread. However, by mistake I created a new thread and I am not able to Delete this post. Last edited by Bruce_Fan; 02-13-2003 at 05:22 PM. |
