Whats is this?? the " trash paul vunak" forum? Its so easy to talk trash about someone when they are not here to defend themselves. Correct me if I am wrong, but didnt Vunak spend some time teaching navy seals? I think that speaks for itself.
Gossip! When you get together you guys are worse than a sewing circle or tupper-ware party. Who cares what drugs he did or didnt do? Its not like hes running for president and even if he was , his personal life is none of your goddamm business.
About Burton Not answering your posts: hes out of the country doing seminars for the time being , so there is no need to gossip on that matter either.
Lets be ego free people! Stop yackin and start hittin the heavy bag. Is whining about Paul really going to contribute to your goal as a martial artist?

It could if someone was going to pay Paul a couple of grand for training.
The crap that many schools do is not the crap I was taught or train in or teach.

Damnit... it made sense when it was running through my head.

    I ask for 2 reasons:

I have considered training with him in the past , and if someone is not going to show up after me paying a few thousand bucks its very bad business.

and # 2 since he brought the topic up in the interview with him on his own web site, I think it is only fair that we ask?

This is what happens to people who like to reach for fame and glory they are untrue to the martial arts especially when money money money is involved. The crap starts to surface and now look it's floating around for everyone to see and it's a mark with your name on it. not good even for his teacher and style

    Fist my experience

trained by micheal olajide my promoter was don king I had a record of 10-4-1 in the supermiddle weight division. I quickly realized that my career was going nowhere so I enlisted his help, I let it be known that I was a pro boxer. we immediately commenced on a straight blast routine. To my horror of horrors the sbr which is just a series of quick punches is the same that is used in boxing except where I did it for free on a heavyweight bag I did for 2 grand. And when I mentioned this i was told the jkd was a compilation of wing chun and boxing. don't waiste your money if trapping really worked we'd use it in the ring. Never punch horizontally you'll find if do you'll be open to hooks.

brazju...It sounds like he taught you what he could and just didn't have the solution make you better. And I understand, if I paid 2 grand I would have high exceptations too. However, from what I read, Paul's boxing career when no where. And...if anyone has seen his vidoes...he not recognized for having great footwork.

I'm a USA boxing coach and I focus a lot on footwork. It's just my opinion that great footwork would give any boxer of equal power an edge over another boxer.

I like Paul's 'Mass Attack' tape. It changed the way I view dealing with multiple attackers. His approach seemed more realistic to me.
