![]() | don't forget that genetics will also affect the outcome. You can shed all your body fat and do crunches till you die but genetics will tell you if your abs will be semetrical or not. In theory you could but you also must take into account that you would have to do more than just train and eat like him. You may have to live like him. Which wouldn't be too bad considering im sure he had his fair share of groupies and mind altering drugs.

B) Why would you want to look like Bruce anyway? He had pencil legs and couldn't squat his own bodyweight. C) Yes, you could look like Bruce if you have a good answer to B. Its not that hard, his muscular development was not really spectacular beyond his fairly impressive lats. Besides the lack of leg development, he also lacked much of a chest. So you could actually look better than Bruce if you ate right and trained right. D) There has been some speculation, or perhaps more than speculation, by some Bruce biographers that Bruce used 'roids at least to some degree. Given his training routine, this makes some sense--you could overtrain easily doing what Bruce did if you weren't taking anabolic supplements. If you're willing to go this route, then, yes, your ectomorph genetics aside, you can bulk up. E) I must ask again, why Bruce? Bruce's goal wasn't necessarily physique development--he simply did not get the muscular development attained by serious bodybuilders. He had the physique you'd expect of a lean guy who worked out as seriously as him. He was cut up, not big. F) No more how do I look like Bruce threads please. | |

![]() | Uh RobertG, you'd think if Bruce hit the roids he'd be able to at least squat his own weight. Actually it's pretty rare to find someone who can't squat their own weight. How could he jump about eight feet into the air if he couldn't even squat his own weight? Or even sidekick Bob Wall a couple feet in Enter The Dragon? I think you're hatin' man. Bruce purposely kept his chest small so not to inhibit his range of movement with his arms. This about goes for everything else he worked. He wanted his muscles toned, strong, and small for speed. So what he made up for in size he did in warm marble-like hardness. Back to the thread question. I believe you can achieve a physique similar to his. The only area on Bruce that is questionable to being attributed to genetics is his lats. I'm not saying it's not possible but, I nor I hope to god no one else here thinks they know your genetics. You already have a head start on Bruce because he actually use to be somewhat pudgy if you see his teen pictures, so your fast metabolism will help you stay in the very low body fat percentages. As for everything else, I'd say work on bulking up to "Bruce's size" then once you have obtained the bulk switch your lifting program to some extreme toning. So basically just start off doing low sets high reps with high weight (75-90% of your one rep max; try to go closer to your one rep max) on all execises, once the bulk has reached your desired level start doing either low sets high reps with low weight or exactly like what i just typed but with medium to even high sets.

![]() | i dont see why u would want to be like someone else when u could just "do you" ...but if it gives u motivation all the power to you. umm, one thing though i just wanted to point out that like a few others said, genetcs has a large part of what u turn out in the long process of body conditioning...so using bruce is a great way to get to a high level, just remember ur not him and the ending result will be you... a much better turn out.. peace |
