Lengths for Tests and how long between ranks... By Gufbal1982 - Tue, 20 Feb 2007 23:58:01 GMT

=========

Now, I have never administerred a bb test, but have done brown belt and lower tests (both with USSD and FVSSD). How long of a test do you think is appropriate and how long do you think that person should hold the rank for before testing again? I'll put my feedback in after I get some responses.

My BB test in JJJ lasted approx 6 hours. Part 2...........for second dan a minimum of 2 years after receving 1st dan, for 3 dan a minimum of 3 years after receiving 2nd dan........and the forumula continues as you go up. That's why so many 8ths and 9ths are old men. One disclaimer--some systems don't test after 2 dan--it's honorary, or a matter of teaching hours or contribution to your particular art. In other words it gets subjective thus you have so much Bullshido!!! LOL
