Default TangSooDo/Hapkido

There happens to be a near by hapkido and tangsoodo school nearby my place, i have always been interested in taking one of these arts..the thing is the school that teaches hapkido teaches taekwondo too. Ive heard some negative things about dojangs that teach TKD with other arts. Am i safer going to the tangsoodo place? Here is the link to their site. http://www.coffeykarate.com/

And i just ran into another TangSooDo dojang in my area, heres their site
http://www.thkimkarate.com/duluth.htm

Im not good at this martialarts stuff and if any of you guys could tell me which instructor looks more experienced, i would highly appreciate it.

yes, tkd with other arts isn't the best combination and tends to water down the more effective system
i looked through the site, and i didn't see anything on tkd specifically(the coffey karate site) and the guy looked experienced and has a good history in firearms defense, so that's a plus
i've never really heard of someone however who studies a traditional style, then studies jkd learns that philosphy, then goes back to teaching forms, however, that experience there might have made the system he teaches a bit more effective in the long run
he has tracey kenpo experience, and traceys system was watered down from the oringinal ed parker sytem, and i wouldn't trust a tracey practitioners kenpo. having said all that, i think he's a pretty experienced guy, but doens't look to be in the greatest of shape, so i would just check it out for yourself, watch a few classes, and be sure to ask alot of questions

i briefly checked the other site, and...well...it looked very mcdojoish..but again, see for yourself
hope it works out
