I'm new here. I just wanted to find a forum where fellow TKD enthusiasts gathered.
I'm 32 years old(often carded and people have to look at my ID many times and still can't believe my age hah hah). I'm also a mom -but definetely not fat -I'm just a blue belt but I'm very passionate about my training in TKD and work really hard every time. Anyways, I just wanted to say hi and introuce myself. So hello

didn't take you long to start flirting with the new "talent", did it Bri?
Hi Geneva, I'm osopardo, which means brown bear. I have a black belt in WTF Tae Kwon Do and I never get carded (although, occasionally they'll check my pulse or check to see if I'm breathing). I too, am not fat, just hairy and shaped somewhat like a pear. Welcome to defend.net!

The reason I said that was because some people think that TKD enthusiasts are overweight, middle-aged soccer moms and I'm definetely not! heh heh although I do have a son who plays soccer but I'm not a freaky screaming soccer mom.
Osopardo I did get that...I speak spanish ![]() Thanks Spookey! My style is ITF. I just got back from an all martial arts tournament. I did well thank goodness. 1st in weapons(I used the Bo), 1st in forms and 3rd in sparring in my division. I had a great time! Just sharing...I'm actually very excited about it, I was really nervous this morning...to the point where I was not able to eat anything before the competitions. They're great tournaments, a lot of good people and all arts. I compete mostly here in Maine and just started competing in the New England area. It was a lot of fun!I actually compete a lot, always love it. I'm from Panama but have been in Maine, USA since 1995. Thai, I respect your opinion but I love TKD...I believe all martial arts are good! ![]() See you later! |

Of course all martial arts are not good, unless you have an unusual definition for the word. |

Well Bri, I think you and Geneva can both be right and wrong it just depends on how you define "good". Good for fighting, health etc. Oh Geneva, welcome!!

And hello to you too!
Thai...perhaps I will need to subdue you but not by using force...I have my own methods of coercion ...in no time I will have you saying "Taekwondo is great, all martial arts are good" Heh heh! cheers! |
