Dear Sir,
Your words ring true. I do not agree with my words, "If a child steps in a mans place...KNOCK HIM OUT!" Those were words of fear and anger. Fear of a legal inability to defend the law abider from the criminal element, and anger as to the fact that I placed myself in a possibly fatal position in order to avoid potential legal ramifications... Anyhow, it was a "win" as all survived the encounter unscaved (minus a few bruised ribs and a lump on my head)...the patrons continued to enjoy their evening, and the criminal (uh, I mean suspect...dont call the lawyers) went to the local youth detention facility! Best regards, Spookey TAEKWON! |

I was going for a walk down Marconi (this is street in Sacramento, CA)
it was 3 am and i was just going ot the 7-11 for late night snak. Car pulls up with 4-5 guys (its quiet and dark - during the day this street is busy all the time - right now no one was on the road) they stop on the sidewalk ahead of me about 25 feet from where I am walking. They get out and start to walk towards me (kind of casually). Out-loud to myself I say "oh,.. f.u.c..k". and then I hear "what up g." The adrenalin is alread flowing in me but I didnt know it til i started running.. back to the gated complex I was living in. I got myself a headstart LONG before they could get near me. I punch in the code, the gate opens I run inside. I don't know how I recall this. But they got in there car backed up on the road after me (in reverse). "Just get in the car!" - PFssheeya right. I was in the gate and gone before they could get anywhere near me. That was that. Insincts kicked in - I was was gone - I know that is the fastest I've ever ran in my life for that distance. |

Dear Sir,
First of all, I work for a local buisness owner as his personal protection advisor, secondary to this position I oversee security for his business...public entertainment facility. Now, on to the reality of the matter. It is against the law in every state where you can legally carry a firearm to draw under these circumstances. You should never brandish a firearm (especially in a crowd of 600 people, more less juveniles). Secondly, it is not soung advice to draw your sidearm if you do not intend to use it. Third, there is a legal "thing" called reasonable use of force. The law does allow you to defend yourself, but only allows for the minimum amount of force necessary to defend ones self or that of a third party. Also, that amount of force used must be justified by the circumstances. The statements made above are only a few of the reasons this is not any kind of readonable... Please feel free to explain your logic in your previous post! TAEKWON! SPOOKEY |

Dear Sir,
I provide security for a skating rink / teen club. Also, I act as the street gangs consultant for a local firm which secures some of the private (non public housing) complexes in the more crime infested neighborhoods! Now, would you explain to me your rational logic behind "drawing" my sidearm under the given circumstances? Mr. Oso, Thank you for your assistance in my abscents! TAEKWON! Spookey

There's nothing more juvenile than adult entertainment.

Dear Brokenelbow,
My post was directed to you in error... Dear Moving Shadow, Please explain your training and logic which would cause you to conclude that a firearm should be drawn in the circumstances? TAEKWON! Spookey
