that is a completely false statement. you do not have to be in a back balance stance to kick. it is taught as a stance that you can be in for more than a few moments. and it is asinine. you stand with both heels on the same line, one pointed forward, the other to the side......are you kidding me???? that is ridiculous. and if your statement about being knocked out when you shoot in is true, why are their so few knockouts in nhb when someone shoots in. also.....why are their so few, maybe even none, nhb fighters that list tkd as their primary martial art... because tkd is something you put your sissified 7 year old in because he gets picked on at school. yes, in some (few) places can it be beneficial to an adult. but in the us you should not be allowed to take tkd if you are over the age of 12.

Because Real Fighters Do not waste their time with sport fighting. It is not real fighting it is sport fighting. There is a big diffrence. I know I have been there and done that.

their a big difference in nhb and tkd sport fighting. nhb is as close to a real fight you are going to get in competition. tkd sport fighting is as far away as underwater basket weaving. you wear a big ass helmet, have on big gloves, no submissions, no takedowns, you stop after scoring a point. at least agree with me that nhb or vale tudo are one billion times closer to a real fight than tkd.

now, when you get into multiple opponents, they are both ineffective.

Ah yes, 'real fighters' don't fight. That's how you know they are such great fighters. Makes perfect sense.

No actually TKD works quite well against multiple opponents. And nhb is nothing like a real fight. Most real fights are between people with little or no fighting experience most are drunk and drugged out. and real fights only last a few seconds at best.NHB is a competition between trained fighters who are trying to execute techniques such as submission holds knock outs etc.....It bears no resemblance to a real fight A real fight has NO rules sport fighting has rules Even NHB has rules. In TKD they use pads Because they want to be able to function after the match without spending time in the hospital to recover. If NHB and MMA fighters were even semi-qualified fighters and If NHB and MMA were REAL not Dressed up WWE then there would be massive amounts of permanant injuries and deaths in the ring. Like it or not that is the cold hard facts !

okay knuckle-nuts, answer my question....if two people of exact same natural ability and athletic skill were study tkd, and the other study MMA or grappling for a few years, and they had it out in a STREET fight. who would have the greatest chance of winning.

also, an nhb fighter would fair better again some drunk turd bum-rushing him that a tkd back balance stance master.

I guess that would depend on which Martial arts that they mixed MMA is becoming a style of its own usually MT and BJJ but mixed martial arts can and was used to refer to mixing more than one style the style its self did not matter so what styles are we talking about.
