MA's should channel your aggression/anger/hostility and turn it into positive focused energy. I suppose you are the type of people that like to hurt their classmates in sparring or push submission holds too far etc just to make them fel better about themselves.

If you can't control youself then don't do MA's.....we don't want you.

Are you trying to lecture to some nameless "7%" of people who clicked on some little poll on this little thread? Is your need to feel self-important really that strong?

Is it also why you 'advised' someone on another thread, "Learn to be aggressive in a fight situation, learn to hit hard, learn to hit fast and learn to hit lots of times."?

There's the possibility that those 7% could have been timid fellows who lacked courage or initiative; just a thought, man.

That's a good point Tom and I admit I probably spouted off without thinking about what I was typing about. Maybe the poll should have had an extra option referring to a persons increase in courage, confidence and self esteem.

Yes, martial arts have made me calmer. I used to be really hot tempered. My old temper is not completely gone... sometimes I can get really angry by small things, but it's much better than it used to be. And it's getting even better.
I'm not stupid, I just have bad luck when I'm thinking.

Yes it has taught me discipline and control. I believe it all depends on your master or sifu. If they are true to their teachings then you will be too.
