OK, more whine for me...I am having a week like that!
On another Forum - not MA related - I use my TKD tenets as signature: Honor Courtesy Intergity Perseverance Selfcontrol Courage Community I am proud of them, I try to live by them. But it never fails, when the discussion gets sticky (and usually when I clamp down on the holes in the opposing argument) They are dragged out...makes me mad...but I grin and bare...I do not advertise my Black Belt status (I got it rather quick...it feel presumtious to say so sometimes - plus I saw the odd looks at the grocery store the other day... ) I also don't want to glogg up a non MA board with the definition and explaination of the tenets...ARGH - anybody else gets crap like that? Makes me wanna use htis little guy but they don't offer it...![]()

![]() I usually don't wear the belt outside the Dojang...I was just a tad lazy that day - or rather tired...one afternoon of teaching...

I'm sorry man, but folks walking around in their gi just look ridiculous. What, you don't change/shower after a training session? Is there no sweat involved? Do football players "pop in" to the grocery store on the way home in their cleats and shoulder pads? Do wrestlers walk home after a meet in their singlets? It's training gear and it's not standard attire outside of that context. Not only is it repulsive personal hygiene not to wash and change after working out, it makes you look like some reject from a fantasy role-playing convention.

ROFLMAO....facilities have no showers...this is a third world country, masquerating as one of the 50 states! I usually stuff the Belt inmy bag and take the jacket off...that day...I just had brain overload I guess, consider dealing with nearly 60 kids of variing shapes and sizes, over the course of 3 or four hours....think bag of fleas... ![]() Besides, dude, you just called me dirty! ![]()

y dont you change in the bathroom?
at my old school, thats where i would change if i had to. i live in nh, and if i were to wear my uniform around (during the winter) it would become covered in salt from the roads/parking lots. ew.

LOL! We have a changin room, just no showers. I usually do take my jacket off and the belt hardly ever goes anywhere but the bag...or I'd lose it.

i have a bag in my sparring bag where i put my dobuk and street cloths. at home, i hang my dobuk with the belt on a hanger in my closet...and everything i wear underneath, i keep in a drawer...that way, i can never lose any part of my dobuk...
the only problem is if i forget to take out my dobuk when i get home...i remember the day of training, and when i pull out that poor forgotten dobuk... EW!!!! the stench, the stench!!!! as for the showers...do you really need to shower immediataly after class? my school has showers and i never have used them...but of course i risk seeing someone later and really smelling bad!

LOL! I didn't figure this to turn into a discussion of personal hygiene...
Anyhow, I just shower at home. My scedule allowes for that, and of course, the clothes get washed every time...almost every time...I only skip the wash when I was teaching that day though...but I usually work out in a t-shirt vs. full uniform...But when you are at the Dojang on consecutive days...you really need several sets!

they cost so much!!!!
100^ for one dobok!!! EKKK!!!! i sadly live off of one dobok. and I train about 3-4 classes a week(two of those classes i do twice a day 2hours if that makes sense)... of course Ive only been training at my new school for the past...6 months, and im going to college soon(which i have to pay for my training and my books!) so getting new doboks isnt high on my list.
