Recount for us your favorite experience or memory of training, living, or just visiting in Korea.

Never been to Korea, jubaji.
I may go someday, but I'm more interested in Japan, China, Thailand and Singapore at the moment.

I managed to visit China, Korea, Thailand, Malaysia, Myanmar (okay, just a border town), Australia, and Indonesia from spending five years or so working in Japan and Singapore. Once you're over in Asia, airfares to and from the various countries in the region are quite reasonable.
Korea visit - the DMZ tour put on by the USO is really something to experience. -Eating those cinnamon fritters on the street in Myungdong. -Insadong street market. -Spending an eveing in a jazz club near Anguk/Kyongbokgung with a group of young film-makers who spoke little English, but were quite willing to share their vodka (they had had about a bottle each I would guess). We communicated by drawing pictures in a notebook. -Going to restaurants and trying to decipher the menus (pre-world cup, so no English) and being surprised by what actually showed up on the plate (usually pleasantly).
