LOL! I might be stuck in Alabama, but this is a Euro-Gran for you!

And we Euro-Gals like very much to be treated to a dinner at a restaurant! (Especially if the young man has little money, we know to appreciate it)

I enjoy Japanese, Indian and REAL Chinese cuisine...but my first love is Thai.

Never had the opportunity to give Filipino food a shot...because Utah sucks.

I tend to think of East and South East Asian food when I think "Asian."

Indian and Persian food are in their own class and rightfully so.

This thread should help some of the underweight develop a little appetite.

its all very well but Asian food just doesn't compare to good old British food, a bit of hagus there, a fried mars bar there, maybe some black puddy and perhaps some grease with a side of bacon, they say the Japanese eat just about anything...

For starters haggis and fried mars bars are a distinctly scottish set of vile food. Real english, welsh, scots and Irish cuisine is very hard to come by because the greasy dishes you mentioned are so much easier to cook. Nothing will ever beat a good yorkshire pudding with gravy. Ever.

Excuse me, but fried mars bars are an urban myth.
They're not on the menu in any part of Glasgow.

Haggis, on the other hand, is more nutritionally balanced than any Americana fast food.

To bad it doesn't look it! At least it's not pink...North German specialty of Labskaus, a mush of ground up herring, potatoes and red beets sure looks - interesting...
