Default Working out in the pool

Just got back from the pool.

I am not a great swimmer and bringing a kid along...well, I spend most the time in the shallow end, amusing myself with practicing my kicks and even a few punches. High knife hands are perfectly suited for a great splash fight, too, as well as various kicks...the water being 4f deep was shallow enough to allow me to lift my kicks out of the water...maybe next time I try a deeper spot...depending on what my muscles say tomorrow....

Pool training is kind of nice. You've got some natural resistance and much lower impact. The only tough part is that your feet can slip.

I swam 1200 meters today (that's about 3/4 mile).

PS - i bet i could beat you in a splish splash fight

Thaiboxers do it too. waist deep water and throw knees. You definitely feel it. I like to throw leg kicks too...because if you do it hard enough it lifts the support leg up and you feel like you're flying. Wee!
