Who is the most famous Taekwondo master in history? Or how about the most influential?
My answer is Grandmaster Jhoon Rhee and Elvis would have to be in there though he also studied American Kempo. Link: http://www.Elviskarate.com

The most famous is the man who submitted the name TKD for acceptance and lobbied the hardest not only for it's acceptance as well as developing a single gym in the military and founding an addittional infantry division to recruit the top Martial Arts guys to develop a single system and then use the military resources to send demo teams, and develop instructors and dispatch them around the world and recruit those like Jhoon Rhee to adopt the name, as well as learn and teach the system.

Sadly, that man, General Choi Hong Hi, is not as famous as he should be. Despite his many accomplishments and his life long work in the promotion of Taekwon-Do, a new generation of young practitioners are forgetting who he was and many of them haven't even heard the name.
