Fist TKD Q???

I have two questions about TKD if you could answer them or point me in the right direction to answer them. I have studied tae kwon do for many years in Missouri and I was wondering where the lineage came from in this area. Its the Southeast Missouri area, and we have had many people come through our schools. One person that comes to mind is woodrow speed who I have heard was in one of the black belt magazines way back in the 80s for karate or TKD tourneys. They say he was banned from using a ridge hand because it was so effective that he was winning them all LOL. The instructors from that era that I learned in seemed like they were great. We had one guy from our school who fought SuperFoot Bill Wallace named Robert Biggs. My instructors instructors name was Bill Morrison and I wondered where did these people come from and what schools did they learn from. One of the people that came from our school was Ira Judd who was supposed to be ranked number one in Missouri. My instructors name was Robert Morrow, I would like to know where these guys learned from or what lineage they came from or what schools. They never really said where they learned but, all the greats from around there came or trained at the same place for a brief period before they started their own schools...any help would be appreciated.

I've heard of Robert Biggs and I also heard he fought Superfoot. I think Biggs had a school in North St. Louis County, maybe on West Florissant Avenue. I checked out the school once when I was home for the summer. I didn't end up training here, but it was a coordination thing. I had no problem with the school or Mr. Biggs. That's about all I know about him.

Hi there,

I realize this is WAY past the date of your original post, but I just happened upon this when I did a google search for more information on Robert Biggs.

I actually trained at his dojo for years and know quite a bit about him (all good). Let me know if you receive this post and I will be happy to tell more..

Yeah, i know i'm posting in a really old thread and it's my first post, but whatever.

I'm not to sure about all the others, but Ira Judd is my instructor in TKD right now and I don't know all the specifics but Mr.Judd started learning TKD over in Vietnam for a few years during the war and then when he got back to the states he continued it
