yes exactly. fighting and winning is all about evasion, illusion, cadence, tactile awareness, or simply the fact that you have to use what you have at that given time to work for you. if wing tsun is in an applicable range(western boxing) then it will work. when it comes to tech. of the hands, grappling is essential to make or break the transition from stand up to ground fighting. i've always felt that it was the b.j.j. of stand up. you can be small, and yet you can control an stronger/faster opponent. i'm searching for truth, and any know how, when to, etc. will further my studies and help me on my way. mauy thai, savate, wing tsun, and boxing have helped me understand the mid range combat. if there any others you might deem appropiate, please let me know!

I'm not saying WT doesn't work. I'm saying that anti-grappling just looks like striking. And I'm an ex WC guy.

it's not only to employ the strongest in the forefront(fencing), b/c for those who have limited flexibility and usually train one sided there entire lives, they are limited to what can be done. bruce had it rite, but it was used and still is today to teach people to use both sides evenly. to show that power can be possesed on both sides equally. fights are not planned and to be ready for everything you must have everything, strong/fast left and a strong/quick rite.

    Martial Art(s) Studied
I simply did as bruce would have done. Take what is useful, discard what doesn't work, and add what is purely my own! Street reality was my quest, since 4 years old. I feel alive when training. Nothing else compares.

i've studied wing chun(formal) for bout 1 year. most of it started with books until i met my father. after 1 hour with him i realized there are so many options like in kempo or twisting tiger or even savate. proper perception/anticipation of the tech. must be seen first b4 even blocking. then once you've latched on. i go with ti chi energy concepts to force open the line or re-direct the attack to unseen open lines. i want to prove that this still, given its rigid structure can help in the defense...

I have learned nothing by picking and choosing. The system had to be studied in whole, in order to learn the ''why-when-and how! I've tried many different styles and their blocking technique's, and no one set has any right over the others. In all my years in the mixed martial arts, blocks have been geared towards thai fighting ''U.F.C.'', since people have this notion that they only need to strike with the strongest tool in their arsenal. But on the other hand when i was learning the systems approach...
