I believe ths Shaolin monks are real, but I think they just have a knowledge of breathing that most people don't that allows them to be able to focus air very intensely into certain body parts, hence the spears. However, there IS that one master who pulls airplanes and trucks with the cord tied to his scrotum, and he does do it in front of crowds! There is also some chi guy who tied a cord to a bucket of water and the other end to his eyelid, and he lifted it up.

I'm sure it could all be trickery, look at the stuff David Blaine can do (have a person pick a card, put it into a deck, and then cough it up from his stomach(!?!). Like I said though, that is why I would like to seak these guys out personally.

(P.S. if anyone knows HOW David Blaine does some of his tricks, like his levitation and some of those tricks that do seem like real magic, please tell, cuz it's killing me wanting to know the secrets to that stuff!!)

Chi/Ki is real, its the method of breathing and concentration with the universe
Because universe breathes, just like we do, but for one inspiruim and one expirium of universe passes aloooooooooooooooooooooooot bilions of years.

My thought on Ki. It is very powerful thing when you know how to use it.

I know how Blaine does that trick. I've been shown it, and also fooled others. When he does it in the street you will notice that one observer always has a jacket that stands out. From some angles the camera will be partly behind the same jacket. I'll explain the reasons later.

Firstly he turns his back for a reason. He also stands at a very slight angle. As he "levitates", he is merely coming up onto the ball of the foot furthest from the observers. You can see his heels raise, the entire near foot raised but, becase of the angle, you cannot see the far foot which still has the ball of the foot in contract with the ground. All the observers go wild, including the person in the jacket who, by the way, is a plant.

He comes back later and totally cheats. He uses cables to lift himself much higher, and films it with the guy with the jacket in the shot too. On this occasion the other people are not there.

They go back to the studio and edit the two versions together. So you end up with this marvellous feat of "magic".
