You guys sound like your martial arts training has not taught you control. All this talk about kicking people's asses. It's uneccessary. What do you have to prove to us? If somebody aggravates me enough I will fight them but please show some restraint when the offence is minor. I'm 13 and I have learned this much. You all have great potential.
It is not that I do not respect your points of view. I have something to learn from everyone on here, and age is of no concern. My point is that you generalized stating that we all need to learn some self-control. Read your post, its pretty condesending and shows a lack of self-control.

I agree with your moms advice on violence. The key is to end the confrontation as quickly as possible. You need everything you have, because there is almost nothing more dangerous than being physically assaulted. The best way to win, is to never underestimate your opponent. "Whatever it takes", nothing more, and nothing less.

I agree I was being condescending but I did not intentionally aim my concern at all of you. My comments were more targeted to the people who seemed to want to fight simply or primarily to prove their strength or ability. That made me very angry.

You must learn not to let anger dictate your words my friend. It is not wise to offend so many with one statement. I advise you choose your words carefully or clarify more in the future. however, I still agree your advice and conversation is intelligent.

You must be 13!!

Hear this- "Black and White do not mix."(unsure).

--> don't pick fight's!

You either fight, or practise self defense. Which mean's...[your interpretation].

Thumbs up

7yearsjudoka, although I don't know you personally, your attitute and wisdom (and ability to express your thoughts) seem to be well beyond that of a thirteen year old. Had you not posted your age I would have mistaken you for some one of much older age. Props to you.

Theres a technique i used to use in that situation, you almost always know when a fight will occur so for about 10 seconds before panic like mad, let all your fears get in and take control for a brief moment, then, after that 10 seconds think to yourself thats it, iv'e worried about it and now its time to take action, for me it works, im controlled, confident and the fears basically gone, don't know if it would work for anyone else but it did me...

since we are share are fear's ... i know this migth sound or feel kind of weird but i have this something its not quite a fear ... i am afraid of hitting to hard :S cause i always have more strength and hitting harder in a fight or just playing with friends, and i just hurt them so i was keep thinking to my self to be carefuly :S but in a real fight i just keep it control, if your affraid of getting hit think of a thing that realy upsets you and then just unleash your angry, or take the first hit that works for me, but fight only when its realy necessary i have escape from some wope ass just by talking and "playing along"

That's really freaky. I'm a boxer and I've had the exact same dream on a few occasions. I'm actually considered to be a hard puncher. But in my dream, my punches are often really slow and do absolutely nothing to my opponent.

Pretty weird!
