Fist Settling Old Scores

Now that you are proficient at your chosen martial art how do you feel about settling old scores. That grade school bully, the guy who sucker punched you on the basketball court or that old grudge that you've been carrying for 20 years. Has martial arts made you wanna settle the score or just let it ride?

For me, I'd rather just let it ride because revenge is a two edge sword; besides I can get my jollies off from sparring or dojo practice. That's just me.

How do you feel about this issue?

The only old scores I have left to settle deal with girls that I passed up. Most of them became georgeous right afterwords

So true. I entered a college campus for the first time a few months ago and after looking at all the beautiful young things running around, I asked myself "My God, why did I ever go into the service?"

Let by gones be by gones.

I've been involved in martial arts on and off for quite some time and I've noticed that when i can devote time to martial arts, everything else falls into place.

Not to mention, that most martial artists whom I've met are some of the most considerate, self-respecting, friendly and dedicated people. The only other people whom match this trait are the folks at worship.

How did this thread come to life? It is almost 7 months old.

Revenge; the double edge sword.

What if they have also been training all of this time so you end up losing again? Then you realize you will be a loser your entire life and your 20 years of training to defeat this person was in vain?

Just bone thier girlfriend and call it even.

It's not how long it takes to settle the score; It's how long the score stays settled.

Not really settling a score... but in about 4 months I'ma go back to my old school (ma school) and knock everyones face in who is sparring their... or make them tap out...

I want to make the supposed... "purple belt" instructor tap out... I wouldnt pick some of the whites at my school to take him out..... (inlcuding me in a few months... although I would go im right now if I had the time)....

Dont kow if thats settling a score.. or what not... but yeah... It should be fun.

Its safe to say that anybody whos says that they want to settle old scores are not true MAs. I say this because, the martial arts teach you how to fight so you don't have to. If you consider yourself a MA then you should really see if the reason you practice the arts is for the right reason.
