in all seriousness man if you really have sparks shooting out of your hands..
.check yer buttplug...sounds like its shorting out... okay im done ...i promise...really man did you expect any less? have you read this forum? its far too easy to buy your own and someone elses bs in the martial world...i have about 30 years in the internal arts and have never seen anyone shoot sparks from any part of thier body....except on really cold days...after shufffling thier feet on the carpet...by all means practice your breathing and chi exercises but stay away from that yellow bamboo site.... ![]() |

The cones and rods in your eyes that transmit the various wavelengths in the light spectrum that you percieve as all the THINGS in the world can trick your brain into "seeing" almost anything you can imagine. I see a static discharge when I rub my feet on the carpet and touch something that is grounded. That is real. What you are seeing is likely a trick of your eye. You would probably see the same effect if you stare at anything long enough with the expectation to see a "spark"... ![]() These guys LOVE to talk about "powers" like yours. http://www.bullshido.net/

sorry to lead you on there guy but i wasnt sure how else to get you to think
Its unfortunate that many people prey on those less experienced. Anyway dont discount energy work, just realize if you have seen it in a movie...thats where it belongs... the martial arts were developed to defend yourself, any other benifits/effects are side effects of the training not the focus...keep that in mind and you will be alright. |

its ok u didnt discourage me. but what confuses me is that there have been so many books that i looked up, called "how to use ki energy" and it seemed to have worked. look at this book: http://www.amazon.ca/exec/obidos/ASI...264188-6233656
and theres many others that i just picked up two days ago. i cant believe im learning now that its impossible. |

do you have an actual teacher? I have found that the majority of books on chi and chi kungs should be avoided like the plague. Any one who had enough real training and ability to write such a book never would....not because it would be revealing "Secrets" but because they would know there arent any secrets where energy work is concerned. If you train daily use proper breathing and focus your mind on the training while you are doing it, you have all you need...anything else you do is more likely to harm you or at minimum waste your time and money. people can convince themselves of virtually anything...the more you want to believe in it the more likely you are to fool yourself...be careful...find a good teacher and use that book to prop up that wobbly kitchen table, thats where you will likely get the most benifit from it...good luck.

thanks for the advice. i have a teacher in the style kosho ryu or something. and i swear to god i saw a purple speak when i tryed to concetrate my energy into one hand. and if thats impossible, why does my hand feel all sparky whenever i try to concentrate ki there. i swear to god i saw sparks. i know you don't believe this works, but just try out what i said.
