It's not religion.

If I write a book on Fish Farming, and in the foreword include a quote by Pope Jock Paulis the 3rd reading;

"Ware ye the fish wi the crooked gill"

That does not make the rest of the book religious, and nor do further subsequent quotes from religious authors.

Comparing JKD to religious worship is ludicrous at best.
Basing the idea on the religious base of every author quoted in the 'Tao', anonymous or otherwise, you'd have more religions than you'd have use for.

I suspect the 'name' of the book is what's being picked up on, as in 'Tao'.

C'mon folks, books are titled to sell.

Buddhism is not a religion? By almost all definitions it is. What makes you beleive otherwise?

I was raised as a Christian.

I still don't see a problem with justified use of force.

I don't think it's Christianity that's the problem. More like $$$.
