i would like to know if anyone does any type of meditation on this forum, andif they do what type, types such as the usual sitting on knees or crossed legs and meditating, meditating while walking and concentrating on breath, etc. i do the walking one while delibarately taking very slow steps so my whole body becomes relaxed while i concentrate on my breathing and drawing energy from the earth up through my legs and spreading it through my body..... soiunds odd.... anywho so yeh i would like to hear what u guys do.

I do zazen. Breath in through the nose, out through the mouth, and get my heartrate to lower.

You may want to be careful about drawing energy from the earth up into your body. Connecting with the earth and feeling yourself become a part of it is much less dangerous than drawing from the earth, in my opinion.

At the moment I have been doing a lot of visualization techniques. But ki breathing is usually what I fall back on.

Just sitting and trying to focus on one area of your body, An excercise I like to do is spend a few minutes focusing at the top of your head and move down. I usually only last 15-20 minutes doing that before I get side tracked but meditation has done wonders for me lately. The more you do it the better and more balanced you feel.

If anyone gets a chance read ki in daily life or any ki development book from aikido. I recommend this to anyone even if you believe aikido to be BS.

I sit cross legged and focus on my breathing, I find it hard to concentrate, but I am trying to do it two or more times a day, I believe once I can control my mind that nothing is impossible

I've practiced the Hong Sau concentration technique (taught by Self Realization Fellowship which was founded by Paramhansa Yogananda)for 16+ years.its a superior method to simply focusing on breathing

I am going to a free 11 day seminar in BC for Vipassana meditation. My friend went to one and was very impressed. From what I have seen it is what budha supposeably taught. I will let you know about it if you want when I return.
