Default Breathless And Wobbly

I've had quite a lot of fights in my life, so it's nothing new.
Recently, some guy at college has been harrassing my girlfriend, I want to intimidate him tomorrow to tell him to back off, but the thought of it gives me extremely bad butterflies, it makes my legs feel wobbly and weak, and I feel breathless and have to breathe hard, also i become very shakey. The weird thing is, I'm not actually scared, I've always thought it was an uber bad adrenalin rush.

It's been the same my entire life, through any fights, or being intimdated myself, of actually me being the one intimidating, I always get like this.

Is there anything I can do to prevent it? is it a deep rooted fear? is it normal? what could it be?

Any help and suggestions would be great...thanks

Hey Rev. EC Valdimar.

How much coffee do you drink? Sometimes the down from having caffeine can make you a bit jittery.

I drink a lot of coffee, but it only happens when something threatening is about to happen, regardless of the other person's age, whether they're 10 years older than me or 10 years younger than me, I get the same

Sounds like its adrenaline; your body is prepairing for action, maybe the caffeine exagerates some of it?

I get a little bit of fear when I spar (or fight) and for me that's natural. My breathing speeds up but I never hyperventilate - how's your cardio?

Cardio is usually 30mins of treadmill or bike...or 5minutes on the rowing machine before weight training

Damn Tom that's some Zen master stuff right there.

I get the exaggerated adrenaline dump a bit myself. In verbal confrontations it’s been helpful for me to breath properly, maintain a feel of my surroundings, and remember to focus on my body language- so I don’t appear too passive of too aggressive, giving the situation an opportunity to be resolved w/o a physical altercation. If the talk right approach fails relay on your training to get the job done…that’s what it’s for.

...is it weird to get the shakey type rushes and then times where it's just amped, and other times...numbed out and flat?

Maybe I fucked my autonomic nervous system through years of worrying about stupid shit...

or it could have been the crack.

hello,

exactly. there it is. this just means you are not a towering inferno of "chumpness". the idea of hurting another is abhorrent to you. no problem. just because you fight or train, doesn't mean you have a need to hurt others.

thanks.
