As a muslim, i cant help but love ali, since he seemed to show great respect for islam after he won like saying "Thanks to allah, i won" but thats not the point of my thread........
Was his tactic of taunting opponents really effective? I mean, would it still work in a martial arts atmosphere? Most martial artists do meditation so they would feel no fear as they fought. Would taunting the guy into a rage, or teasing him so that he loses confidence work in a thai arena? Or better yet, a real fight? |

i agree with ryan. when people are giving me shit i bug out my eyes and talk shit like crazy. but really in the inside i am calm and i am intuned with my training. not only that if you intiminate your opponent there is a good chance he won't want to fight. because 90% of the time people are just putting on a front. now this doesn't mean just go around and pick fight lol. in a sense you must be like the frog
. but yes you have to bull shit and be calm at the same time
