Song?! How 'bout just training? Maybe I'm showing my age, but I find it juvenile to say the least that everything has to be accompanied by theme music these days. Turn off the damn radio and work!

Music gives you a rythym to follow and move around. I like it for calesthenics and bsgwork. I'm not really fond of it when I'm sparring/grappling.

I have a playlist of Eye of the tiger, Seven nation army, Lose yourself, going the distance, and TNT. It's duration is about as long as my routine on a good day. I can then go running or swimming, but without the music.

"Music gives you a rythym to follow and move around." Exactly the reason you SHOULD NOT follow music. In a fight you should set a rhythm yourself. You do not want to follow the rhythm of the other person. Once you set the rhythm and the other person is following it you can break it and it will be harder for them to react.

That is a good point. However, music helps to increase motivation for many people. I am sure that it doesn't help for EVERYBODY, and some people prefer to train in silence. But music has helped me to increase my aggression and pump me up when I do my muay thai rounds. I don't keep a "rhythm" to the music, but certain songs really get me in the mood to train hard. I really like Prodigy and Linkin Park.

I have listened to music when doing rep exercise training, like circuit or bag work... I find that William orbit is good for a cool down or just maintaining my wavering concentration when I'm on what feels like that millions (20th ) pushup.

I also found that the matrix soundtrack is great fore getting pumped before a fight...

for me it's headstrong-trapt, i love training to that
shinedown-fly from the inside(when i first heard it i thought they said "fight" from the inside" and i have doing taichi so i was littlerly learning to
fight from the inside" but it's still a great song to train to
for som reason hero wth chad kroger and joesey scott...maybe i want to abe a hero or something ...
and....hmm
i like training to some linkin park songs...not all cuz most have nothing to do the training...i also like some yoga music if im doing my taichi....gets u in the "chi mood" i guess lol....well one more
taking over me by evanesence.personal reasons....but that one too...did everyone alread reply to this....aww man...is mine even going to be read? lol
