Most people havent heard of them but one of my favourite training bands is raised fist. The energy in their songs is just amazing it never slows down. They are a great really heavy punk band if you are into that.
But tool is one of my favs as well and sometimes I will throw in a little system of a down or even some radiohead when I am slowing down. Anything works really. |

Mine depends on what type of training.
If I am trying to train for a fight I feel I must win then I like to use Electric Slide to train to. Just has a good, solid rythem which I can play constantly. Sometime if it is just practicing then it varies, but still my favorite. If I am working on focus then I use something by Savage Garden or something that brings up both strong emotions and vivid images. The reason I choose songs like this is to train my mind through internal adventures and my energy by focusing it and learning to control it in each of 7 elemental phases with the last one always being the hardest and most flooded with emotion and control. If I am doing it to train for just the fun of it, then I choose something fast and playful, but does not stay constant per se. I guess it all depends on what type of training I am going to do which will decide what type of music I train to. Oh yea and sometimes train to Evanescence, can't forget them. lol |

I usually listen to drum and bass when training-
It is fast, heavy, loud, energetic and follows a similar beat throughout so that you can get into a good rhythm. But I do listen to different types of music because it means that you are used to fighting in different speeds and under different motivation. Listening to different music is good for self defence on the street because you can be prepared for different fighting styles and will less likely be distracted by loud music. There are more reasons too. MASON |
