![]() | A McDojo is a place that's just in it for the money. They don't teach well, teach things that don't work and will advance anyone that makes the club fees on time. Not every club that advances people easily is a McDojo, that's just a common trait. Clubs like to advance people regularly to keep them coming back. But the club should have instructors that know what they are doing, even if they aren't teaching very effective martial arts.

![]() | It sure has got the US in its grip. Gracies must be laughing all the way to the bank. Thats what makes it a McDojo, not a proper sport like eg wrestling or judo, which is the property of everyone. |

![]() | I love (the practise of) bjj. I hate (the politics/selling of) bjj. Its two completely different things. I just think its bad that people try and claim ownership of something that belongs to everybody. I regularly enjoy bjj training, along with judo and sambo training. They are all parts of the same big thing. I have been involved for nearly 20 years and its a big part of my life. |
