Default 8'x8' mats - too small?

I am trying to get a reality check. I am going to buy mats for my garage for grappling practise with a friend. I can go with 8'x8' or 10'x10'. I want to save cash and space. But, I don't want to go too small.

Do you think 8'x8' is too small for informal training?

Dave I have 8x8 size mats. They are cool for me and a partner training, however, if I hadn't of gotten a good deal on these, I definitely would have gotten the 10x10.

10 x 10. You'll be glad you did.

What's the price difference and where are you buying the mats?

I am looking at two 5'x10' from this company:

http://www.athleticmats.com/martialarts.htm

They are $230 each plus $57 for shipping for the MA 2.0 with velcro on all four sides. It seems pretty competitive to other prices out there. If anyone knows of a better deal, please let me know.

Thanks,
Dave
