Japan’s samurais maybe all dead, but their Bushido spirit continues to live on. Last month, three million viewers world wide watched the PRIDE Grand prix in shock and awe as Tokyo dome produced possibly its best ever Kakutogi event with giant plasma screens, world class fighters, visual effects and over fifty thousand screaming Japanese fans. However if you think modern day samurais in Japan only participate in K1 and PRIDE, you are mistaken. Shooto Japan, is where you have to come to pick the champions of the 21st Century. There is no glamour here, no laser light shows, no top corporate sponsors in the front row and certainly no fat wallet fighters. But what you do have is a handful of young, zealous, hungry men who are arguably the best pound for pound fighters I’ve seen. If you want to hear more…
