Favourite submission

I am on a fact-finding mission.

What is your favourite submission, and how do you execute it? (No jokes about me being a dominatrix, please!

)

Americana.

I work it from mount or guard, isolate the arm, and give them a choice of either giving me the lock or suffering under a forearm in the throat.

Standing up I use a Northern Triangle which can lead into a front or rear arm bar.

Hmmm I'd have to say the guillotine and the rear naked work most for me.

Kimura, Keylock, Chickenwing, um there's like a million names for it..... That's probably my fave.

The one that makes the other guy tap out.

Still, the ones that I get the most are triangle chokes (from guard, but have been having some luck getting them from the mount as well), armbars (from guard and mount), keylocks/Americanas, and the RNC. No preference for any of them, really.

As much as I like the triangle, I opt for the Kimura, effective, easy to apply and you can apply it from about anywhere.

Rear naked, back chokes work quite well for me.... when I am in the mount I like the american arm bar but prefer to strike....

Guillotine from where? Guard? Or standing?

How do you do the rear naked choke? Does your choking hand grab your bicep or your shoulder? (I've had it taught to me both ways.)

My personal favorite is the flying guillotine, It's simple yet hard to get out of.

Americana, chicken wing, key lock, there all the same. A kimura is when the arm is bent the other way. Both can be done from top or bottom.
