Default Can anybody tell me what Wu Shu Jujitsu is?

There's a place around here that has Wu Shu Jujitsu and I'm just wondering what exactly that is.

wu shu (chinese for Martial arts) Ju ( Japanese for gentle, pliant) Jitsu (again japanese - should be spelled Jutsu - Jitsu is now translated as truth or similar 'jitsu wa' - tellling the truth)

The mixing of two different languages = not understanding the languages or the meaning of the frases.

= Made up styles are funny! But maybe it aint made up who knows!

Ha

cheers
chris

well i know that juijutsu is a deadly japanese art that has locks, traps, throws and takedowns. wu shu (as i understadn it) is like martial arts mixed with dance. it's very fun to watch. alot of the asian martial arts movie stars trained in wu shu such as jackie chan, jet li and robin shou. it's not very effective in real life because of the fact that it is more of a dance routine fir ma thrown in to give it more flash. it's kinda like the xma. it sounds cool, someone elses version of another mma though. i don't understand how u combine jj with wu shu. but if u like it no one is stopping you. just don't expect it to be effective on the streets though

chris davis has it right. People who mix languages in the names are usually BS'ing. Most likely he knows something of both, but not alot so he made up something. You see this all the time, some fool gets a low level belt in two or three arts, makes up a name and says he created a new style.

Wu Shu is what actor Jet Li studies. So if youve seen any jet li movies then you'll know what wu shu is basically.
