Thread: Anyone else have problems with mmagear.com?

    Anyone else have problems with mmagear.com?

    So I ordered a Gameness white gold weave from mmagear last Thursday the 26th. I got an automated email confirmation saying that the payment had gone through and I would get an email with shipping info once the order shipped, which it said would be within 24 hours. I wait until the end of Monday the 1st for this shipping email which never comes, and I also log onto my bank account which shows that mmagear charged my card $105.15 even though my order total was $99.90 with free shipping and there should be no tax. So I emailed mmagear asking them what is going on... that was monday... it is now Wendesday night and I still haven't gotten response.

    I know some of you have ordered from mmagear.com and I was wondering if this poor quality of service is typical with them.

    I order all my stuff through my instructor. He has a longstanding relationship with his vendors and orders in quantity. This usually facilitates somewhat of a discount for me and increased sales for him.

    The only ordering of MMA gear I have done is through Dogs of War.net and HDOG is awesome in his turnaround time.

    So, to eventually answer your question, no, I haven't had any experience with MMA gear.

    Perhaps Tim or Gene Simco would be able to give you some info on the subject.

    It's not what you know but who you know....

    I have ordered from MMAGear.com on 3 occassions with no problems. I did experience a delay but that is probably due to the fact that I live in Asia...

    I would send an email to: mmagear@hotmail.com attn: Mark to sort out that overcharge.

    Ok I will try that Vincechoo. Also, how did you track your order, they gave me an EMS tracking number... yet I cannot find an Express Mail Service homepage. (I googled the heck out of it too!)

    Spank, once I get the gi I will do a full review ! BTW What's the deal on a Senshido seminar? Obviously the email thing isn't working so why not just post about it?

    If I remember correctly you need to log in with your customer id then in that page it will show what and when what shipped and the status. trouble is this kind of system is only as reliable as the data entry person.

    I think it will be better if you shoot Mike an email.

    Spank, I would need to know the details first. I.E. price, location, how long the seminar is, whether i would have to get a motel room etc, but I am definitely interested.

    FWIW you should check out the Gameness USA website and read their letters to Gameness Brazil for copyright infringement.... apparently there are only a handful of authorized retailers in the US sells genuine Gameness gis.

    Let me know how the gi wears as I am doing a review site on bjj gis.

    Yes I heard about the whole copyright thing. At this point I just hope my gi actually comes.

    I order my gameness blue gi with NO problems! quality of service was GOOD!
    the only thing they fu ck up on , was they didnt sen't me that free t-shirt or magz. But I email them back and they say that if I get something even less then the price , they will sen't me two free t-shirts and magz so I just order my white gameness gi, now I have the blue,black and soon white ....

    Well it is now Friday night and I still have not received an email back regarding why my credit card was overcharged or how to track my package.

    I sent the first email to sales@mmagear.com on monday.

    Second email to mmagear@hotmail.com thursday morning.

    Hey, thanks for the link Dead_Nerd.

    Anyway, my gi FINALLY came today, as did a reply to my email which I sent over a week ago. Apparently my card was charged the extra five dollars because credit card companies (in my case visa) charge a 1%-6% verification fee on all international orders. So that explains that. However I think taking 8 days to reply to a customer's email is pretty poor service.

    I'll do a review on the Gameness soon, after I roll in it. I'll put the review on the infamous GI thread.
