Completely untrue especially for HS becuase it is heavier in technique. You should join the team. I would start working out now to get stronger, But I was surrounded by very good wrestlers in HS that rarely put in gym time especially teh lower weights I don't think you will have a problem. Again the cardio and weight lifting start it now.
