I found this site but it seems sort of a rip of of Chinese MA. Seems a little hockey from the looks.

hmmmt hat seemed pretty cool. it's not really an "american indian art" but is still pretty cool what he is trying to do. my gradnfather being full would be happy if i did it that's for sure. would be a cool thing to check out. wouldn't hurt anything.

There were stickfighting arts and some groundfighting but I don't know that any of them really still exist. most indian culture was lost especially anything related to combat.

After reading more the teacher seems very qualified but I am not sure how much of it is true. Most of his time has been spent with Chinese MA as it looked like. But he has a bunch of jujitsu and kickboxing experience as well. Interesting but I still dont know about it.

There are none. Every culture has had some sort of combatives, but not all have ever had a set style and such. The Native Americans never really had any style as far as I know, its was more like Dog Brothers Martial Arts(for lack of better example), in the way that they learned what worked by doing it. I dotn know who this guy is or if hes even Native American, but if he claims since he claims to be so many types of Native American, you can always find out through government agiencies, and their our own groups like the Cherokee Nation. There are two other guys out there claiming to teach Native American MA, and I dont give them to much credit.
Grand Master Adrian "Chief" Roman-I have no doubt this man knows MA, but from what Ive seen and heard, it seems like hes just using Native American weapons in place of their asian relatives. Ive heard alot of good things as him as a person and a MA, but I still dont buy this NA martial arts thing. the other guy is Randall Brown-This guy has many claims about him, and if anyones familiar with TRS the give their products alot of hype. Hes not any different, including claims that no asian MA arts hav been put into his system, which to me scream "ASIAN MARTIAL ARTS ARE HERE!!!" Again tactics like spear throwing, using the tomahawk, and stuff like that have been passed down from generation to generation, but Id hardly compare stuff like that to organized MA like Kali,BJJ, WC or Karate. Its just knowledge like hunting tactics today, what works works cause it works. -C-

Out east, I know that the Indians pretty much gave up their own fighting technology for more advanced firearms and steel weapons when they could get em. Also, considering they didnt have much of a written language, they probably just learned to fight by doing it. They had a very organized military structure, with commanders, platoons, etc...and for most of the times that the white men would have serious campaigns against the indians, they would find that the natives had guns, not bows and arrows.
A really, really good book on this is European-Native American Warfare: 1675-1815 by Armstrong Starkey. It's got great eye opening facts about the way indians fought and how quickly they took to european technology in combat. |

What this guy is teaching is asian MAs as a Native american, but they are not native american arts. The only one I knew of was wrestling a type of ground fighting like excessive said.
