Just in case your question was serious. A bitch slap is correctly performed using the heel of the palm as you come into contact with the jaw. A correctly executed bitch slap can knock out the guy and make him look like a wimp. To other people it looks as though you just slapped him.

Is the swing an outward arc, like a "normal" slap? Is the elbow held higher or do you push through it sort of like in a palm heel strike?

Sounds like an interesting thing to have in one's arsenal, if for nothing else than to show someone the proper technique..

Do it much the same way you would perform a closed fist hook punch. If done correctly it will freak out the guy because he will also think you just slapped him.
An open hand always looks better to the law in case you get charged for assault.

I've seen live a real bitchslappin session in Ruas Vale Tudo academy. Trust me it's something to see.

There is here a young (19) dude, that will compete next sunday in a Vale Tudo match against a very tough Brit.

Well, there is this thing in RVT that you MUST experience pain to overcome it, so this dude sparred with a senior instructor, that has won the european Vale Tudo title two ys ago, the rules were, the youg lad can defend himself and apply submission, the instructor can submit and strike everywhere with open hands. The more power, the better.

The poor dude was covered in welts and bruises everywhere, expecially on the face. I mean, I consider myself tough, but this is the real deal...

What terrorized my was listening from the instructor that this treatment was administered to him by Marco Ruas, in preparation for his fight. To quote him:

"I was crying like a bitch, trying to hide below a desk, with Marco that pulled me out by the ankles and hitting me...
I was bleeding everywhere man, but after... There was no way my opponent would win...never. I've experienced the worst, this guys seemed a clown to me..."

He did win in 2min48 sec. By triangle.
